Job Summary:

Guidant Power is looking for a high-potential B2B marketer ready to take the next major step in their career. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to build and own the marketing function of a rapidly growing, private-equity-backed services company. The Director will report directly to the CEO, work closely with sales and operating leadership, participate in Shore Capital's marketing cohorts and operating resources, and gain experience building the go-to-market capabilities of a company growing organically and through acquisition. We are looking for a builder, not simply a manager. The Director will own Guidant's lead-generation engine, HubSpot, campaigns, marketing metrics, budget, agencies, and the process for creating qualified pipeline one and two quarters ahead of sales requirements. This role is designed for a marketer ready to earn broader leadership responsibility by producing measurable business results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing Leadership
Develop and manage Guidant's annual marketing plan, campaign calendar, priorities, and budget, setting measurable objectives and KPIs.
Develop the lead flow model required to support organic bookings goals, including how many leads and qualified opportunities Guidant needs and how far in advance they must be created.
Translate company growth objectives, service-line priorities, target industries, and customer needs into measurable marketing programs that generate qualified opportunities and future pipeline.
Support and help execute marketing campaigns in support of Guidant's M&A strategy.
Advise leadership on marketing investments, resource requirements, channel mix, technology needs, and which programs should be increased, improved, or stopped based on performance.
Develop relationships with and manage outside agencies, contractors, paid media partners, content resources, data vendors, and other marketing resources, managing them for quality, cost, timing, and results.
Assess marketing functions of newly acquired companies, integrating each acquisition into Guidant’s marketing strategy, system, processes and brand.

Campaigns & Market Development
Own the marketing calendar, coordinating campaigns, content, product and service-line launches, and events into a single schedule that aligns with sales priorities and business objectives.
Create, launch, and manage integrated campaigns across email, paid advertising, social media, events, webinars, outbound BDR programs, and targeted accounts (ABM).
Plan and support Guidant's presence at trade shows, conferences, customer events, and webinars, including audience targeting, booth and materials, pre-event outreach, on-site support, lead capture into HubSpot, and post-event follow-up measured by qualified opportunities created.
Work with outside contractors to continually improve SEO, and its AI relatives, ensuring Guidant is accessible to prospects searching for our solutions.
Use qualitative market research with customers, prospects, salespeople, technical experts, and industry participants to identify buying triggers, needs, objections, and opportunities, then translate those insights into positioning, content, offers, and campaigns.
Establish campaign objectives, audiences, offers, budgets, schedules, responsibilities, and success measures; manage the internal and external resources required to develop content, lists, creative assets, landing pages, and workflows.
Continuously improve campaigns based on lead quality, funnel conversion, pipeline generated, bookings, revenue, cost per qualified opportunity, and ROI.

Systems, Funnel Metrics & Reporting
Oversee implementation of HubSpot and own HubSpot as Guidant's marketing automation and top-of-funnel platform, including campaigns, BDR lead generation and activity monitoring, lead scoring, qualification, website activity, workflows, sequences, attribution, and funnel reporting.
Build and manage dashboards that measure leads, qualified opportunities, pipeline generated by source, pipeline coverage one and two quarters forward, funnel conversion rates, cost per qualified opportunity, campaign and channel ROI, attribution, and marketing contribution to bookings and revenue.
Manage marketing data quality and integrations among HubSpot, NetSuite, Guidant websites, and relevant external data sources. NetSuite will remain the primary system for sales opportunities, customers, bookings, and revenue.
Establish common definitions, workflows, and service levels for leads, MQLs, sales-accepted leads, handoff to sales, conversion to opportunities in NetSuite, and attribution so Guidant can measure the full path from first engagement through booked business.

Experience:

5 or more years of progressive B2B marketing experience, preferably in services, industrial markets, engineering, electrical services, or other technical businesses, with a record of rapidly increasing responsibility and strong business results.
Demonstrated success personally building and executing demand-generation programs that create qualified opportunities and pipeline. Prior responsibility for an entire marketing function is not required.
This role may be particularly attractive to a successful Senior Marketing Manager, Demand Generation Manager, Growth Marketing Manager, or first-time Director who is ready for broader ownership and accountability.
Strong hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform, with enough technical understanding to build workflows, reporting, and campaigns and to effectively manage outside implementation resources.
Strong marketing foundation with practical understanding of segmentation, positioning, the four P's, customer acquisition, qualitative market research, content, SEO, paid media, social media, email, events, and account-based marketing.
Experience building lead-management processes, funnel metrics, attribution, dashboards, campaign measurement, and reporting that connects marketing investment to pipeline, bookings, and revenue.
Experience managing agencies, vendors, contractors, budgets, and cross-functional programs with sales, operations, technical experts, and leadership.
Experience in an acquisitive, multi-location, or rapidly scaling services company is preferred. Prior experience in a private-equity-backed company, M&A marketing, acquisition integration, or cross-selling is a plus, not a requirement.

Personal
Characteristics

Leadership & Influence: Establishes clear priorities, standards, responsibilities, and deadlines. Gains cooperation across marketing, sales, operations, service lines, leadership, acquired companies, and outside partners, even without direct reporting authority.
Strategic & Hands-On: Can define the strategy and personally drive execution. Comfortable moving from market insight and investment decisions to campaign briefs, content review, HubSpot workflows, dashboards, and vendor management.
Customer & Market Curious: Listens carefully to customers and the market, asks strong questions, identifies patterns, and turns qualitative insight into positioning, content, campaigns, and growth opportunities.
Data-Oriented & Process Disciplined: Builds reliable reporting, maintains clean data, and uses agreed definitions and workflows. Looks beyond activity metrics to understand conversion, future pipeline, bookings, revenue, and ROI.
Systems Thinker: Understands how campaigns, websites, forms, HubSpot, BDR activity, CRM workflows, sales processes, NetSuite, and reporting connect into one revenue system. Identifies root causes and creates practical, scalable solutions.
Commercially Minded: Treats marketing as a revenue-generating function. Prioritizes work based on customer needs, sales productivity, qualified opportunity creation, pipeline coverage, and business value.
Resource Management: Excellent project management and organizational skills to manage agencies, contractors, technology investments, budgets, and competing priorities. Holds outside partners accountable for quality, cost, timing, and results.
Self-Directed & Accountable: Takes ownership of outcomes, manages competing priorities with minimal oversight, follows through on commitments, and is comfortable being accountable for the future pipeline created by marketing.
Ambitious Builder: Energized by the opportunity to create something that does not yet exist. Seeks responsibility rather than waiting for it, learns quickly, operates with urgency, and sees this role as a chance to prove the ability to lead a marketing function and grow with the company.
