The Opportunity
Guidant Power is looking for a high-potential B2B marketer ready to take the next major step in their career. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to build and own the marketing function of a rapidly growing, private equity backed services company.
We are looking for a builder. You will own Guidant's lead generation engine, HubSpot, campaigns, marketing metrics, budget, agencies, and the process for creating qualified pipeline one and two quarters ahead of sales requirements. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with sales and operating leadership.
Why This Role Is Different
• You will own the marketing function, not one channel or a narrow piece of the funnel.
• You will work directly with the CEO and senior leadership on growth priorities, investment decisions, and performance.
• You will participate in Shore Capital's marketing cohort, sharing best practices and learning alongside marketers across a top 1% private equity firm’s portfolio.
• You will gain direct experience with organic growth, M&A integration, cross-sell programs, and the operating discipline of a rapidly scaling services platform.
• You will be judged on measurable business results, and success can lead to broader responsibility as Guidant grows.
What You Will Own
• Build the lead flow model required to support bookings goals, including how many leads and qualified opportunities Guidant needs and how far in advance they must be created.
• Create and manage integrated campaigns across email, paid media, social, events, conferences and trade shows, webinars, outbound BDR programs, SEO, and targeted accounts.
• Own the marketing calendar, campaign priorities, annual marketing plan, and budget.
• Oversee HubSpot implementation and operate HubSpot as Guidant's top-of-funnel platform for campaigns, lead scoring, qualification, workflows, attribution, and reporting.
• Build dashboards that show pipeline generated by source, funnel conversion, cost per qualified opportunity, campaign ROI, and pipeline coverage one and two quarters forward.
• Use qualitative market research with customers, prospects, salespeople, and technical experts to improve positioning, content, offers, and campaigns.
• Manage agencies, contractors, paid media partners, content resources, data vendors, and other outside resources for quality, cost, timing, and results.
• Support Guidant's M&A strategy by helping integrate acquired companies into Guidant's marketing systems, processes, brand, and cross-sell programs.
Who We Are Looking For
You do not need to have already led an entire marketing function. This role may be particularly attractive to a successful Senior Marketing Manager, Demand Generation Manager, Growth Marketing Manager, or first-time Director who is ready for broader ownership and accountability.
• 5 or more years of progressive B2B marketing experience, with a record of increasing responsibility and strong business results.
• Demonstrated success personally building and executing demand generation programs that create qualified opportunities and pipeline.
• Strong hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform, with enough technical understanding to build workflows, reporting, and campaigns and manage outside implementation resources.
• A strong marketing foundation across segmentation, positioning, customer acquisition, qualitative market research, content, SEO, paid media, social, email, events, and account-based marketing.
• Comfort working with data, funnel metrics, attribution, campaign measurement, budgets, and reporting that connects marketing investment to pipeline and revenue.
• The judgment and communication skills to work effectively with sales, operations, technical experts, outside partners, and senior leadership.
The Person Who Will Thrive Here
• Ambitious builder: energized by creating something that does not yet exist and eager to earn broader responsibility.
• Strategic and hands on: able to move from market insight and investment decisions to campaign briefs, HubSpot workflows, dashboards, and vendor management.
• Commercially minded: treats marketing as a revenue-generating function and focuses on qualified opportunities, sales productivity, pipeline, and ROI.
• Customer curious: listens well, asks strong questions, identifies patterns, and turns insight into better campaigns and positioning.
• Self-directed and accountable: moves with urgency, follows through, and is comfortable being measured on results.
What Success Looks Like
• Guidant can reliably answer how many leads and qualified opportunities are needed each quarter and how much future pipeline marketing created this month.
• Leadership knows which channels and campaigns create the best opportunities, what a qualified opportunity costs, and which investments should be increased, improved, or stopped.
• Marketing consistently creates qualified opportunities early enough to improve pipeline coverage one and two quarters forward and make the sales team more productive.
• HubSpot, attribution, funnel reporting, and marketing-to-NetSuite handoffs operate reliably and provide a measurable path from first engagement through booked business.
Compensation
The expected base salary range is $130,000 to $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a 20% target annual performance bonus. The role is designed for a high-potential marketer ready to earn broader leadership responsibility through measurable results.
