Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us grow by proactively identifying and engaging potential new customers across North America. This role is focused on outbound prospecting, building pipelines of qualified leads, and setting appointments for our Account Executives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable initiating conversations with safety, engineering, and facilities leaders. You’ll play a key role in introducing Guidant’s services to new prospects and helping them understand how we can support their compliance, risk reduction, and employee safety goals.
Guidant provides industry-leading electrical safety solutions—Arc Flash Assessments, Infrared Thermography, and Electrical Safety Training—helping companies protect their people and assets while maintaining compliance with NFPA 70E, 70B, and OSHA standards.

- Outbound Prospecting: Identify and research target companies and decision-makers within industrial and commercial sectors.
- Lead Generation: Initiate contact through phone calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn outreach to engage prospects and generate qualified leads.
- Discovery & Qualification: Conduct initial conversations to understand prospect needs, educate them on our services, and determine fit.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified meetings and hand off opportunities to Account Executives.
- CRM Management: Accurately document all prospecting activity, track outcomes, and maintain clean records in the CRM system (Salesforce, NetSuite or similar).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and share feedback on lead quality.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed on electrical safety trends, customer pain points, and key regulatory updates (NFPA, OSHA, etc.).
- 2+ years of experience in B2B sales development, cold outreach, or lead generation—preferably in industrial services, EHS, or technical sales.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident and comfortable with cold calling.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a high volume of outreach activities and follow-ups.
- Technical aptitude to understand and articulate basic electrical safety services (training will be provided).
- Experience using CRM tools (NetSuite, Salesforce, or HubSpot preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
